Matatu Photos Made My Day!

Das hat mich gefreut. Ich habe über Flickr folgende Meldung erhalten, betreffend unseren Matatu-Fotos, die bei unserem kleinen Fotoprojekt in Kenia entstanden:
Hey Sam,
My name is Jorge Suarez and I came across your Kenya pictures while googling “matatu” in search of pics on the internet. Imagine my surprise when I saw the awesome pictures you have, especially given my connection to where you were.
This summer I volunteered in Likoni helping small groups develop their own income-generating activities, and one of my projects was to establish a bakery just down the road from the Likoni ferry. In fact, one of your pictures (P1010760), which shows in the background a sign which says “WA HOME GLASS” is taken from just in front of my bakery! It was a building, I don’t know if you remember, which said AHLU SHUK on the facade. And the picture of the FC Barcelona Matatu – guess what? My host father in Likoni OWNS that matatu, and a Chelsea FC one named “Stamford Bridge”.
So you see I’m completely blown away by your pictures and thank you so much for putting them on the internet. They brought back some incredible memories and have made my day. Take care and hope all is well.
Jorge
